Nashville CABLE's fifth annual "Power of Inclusion" event will focus on including individuals with disabilities in the workplace.
The luncheon and awards program will be held on May 12, 2010 at the Cool Springs Marriott Hotel.
This year's internationally acclaimed keynote speaker will be Debra Ruh, CEO of TecAccess, a company she founded to both serve and hire people with disabilities. Debra's inspiration was a beautiful daughter, Sara, who has Down syndrome.
Drawing upon a formidable career in information technology, Debra built a successful company specializing in Web and IT Accessibility - a suite of solutions that helps people with disabilities become more productive and independent. At the same time, Debra's business has gained a competitive edge by hiring from a larger pool of qualified job talent than many of her peers.
The Power of Inclusion Award recipients for 2010, covering any minority that may have been denied opportunities in the workplace, will be announced at the May luncheon. Winners will be named in four categories: Individual, Corporate, Large Non-Profit Agency and Small Non-Profit Agency.
Each year, this luncheon event attracts over 400 attendees representing Nashville's most influential civic, political and business organizations.
