Jan Maddox

Jan Maddox served as a Director in the U.S. Business Operations Team for the Information Technology Services Organization of Deloitte.  She began her career with the company in 1981 as an administrative assistant and retired on August 19, 2016.

She was also involved in many of Deloitte’s diversity outreach initiatives. She served as the National Inclusion Leader for Enabling Areas to support the national diversity and Inclusion efforts.  She also currently served as the Executive Sponsor for the Hermitage Women’s Initiative Network.  Jan was key in beginning the Heritage Women’s Initiative Network and has been a member or leader for that organization since 1993.  Jan served as a Director sponsor for the Hermitage Hispanic Network from 2008 – 2013 and has served as the Hermitage Office Diversity & Inclusion Leader and ITS Inclusion leader, providing oversight and guidance to all of the Hermitage Business Resource Groups. Jan also volunteers with Deloitte initiatives including, Habitat for Humanity, the Deloitte Educational Fund, Deloitte’s partner high schools and several Pencil Schools supported by Deloitte and Leadership Donelson-Hermitage.

Jan’s desire to help others is not contained within the walls of Deloitte. In 2009, she joined the Nashville CABLE organization and quickly became a member of its Women on Corporate Boards Committee and participates on the CABLE Advisory Board.  Jan served as Chair of the CABLE Foundation’s 2011-2012 Nashville ATHENA Award Program, and is a founding member of the ATHENA Patrons Society. More recently, Jan was selected for a second term as the 2013-2014 Vice President of Development for the CABLE Board and has moved into the President-elect role for the 2014-2015. She then served as chair for the 2015-2016 Board of Cable.  Jan continues to support Cable in a variety of ways.  She has participated on the Nominating Committee for the Cable Board and Officers since 2014 and will again serve in 2018.

Jan assumed the role of Chair for the ATHENA International Board of Directors in May 2014. In June 2012, she joined the ATHENA International Board of Directors for a two-year term, and served on the ATHENA International Executive Committee. Jan then held the position of President of ATHENA International from 2014-2016 and then served as past chair and lead the Nominating Committee.   In July 2014 she was selected to join the Tennessee Chapter of the Women’s International Forum. Jan has chaired the Board for the Leadership Donelson Hermitage organization. She was also selected to be in the Class of 2016 Leadership Nashville. She is currently on the Board and Executive Committee for the Women’s Fund Board. In May 2018 she received the Gloria Coles Leadership Heart of the Community Award presented by Leadership Donelson-Hermitage in recognition of a life long service to the community.
