Founded in 1978, Cable is Tennessee’s premier leadership organization for women’s professional development. As a sponsor, you will have access to over 400 members representing a network of professionals from all business sectors, including business owners and entrepreneurs, corporate and government leaders, educators, community volunteers, and non-profit managers. Because of the significant influence women have on buying decisions, sponsorship can bring untold value to your business by connections to influential decision makers, pools of talented employees, and potential suppliers while increasing the market for your products and services. Cable seeks to cultivate valuable relationships with businesses that are committed to diversity/inclusion, leadership development, and the advancement of women as valued contributors in every aspect of society. Cable invites you to join us in discovering mutually rewarding professional development opportunities for women.
Each March during Women’s History Month, Nashville joins more than 500 communities throughout the world in honoring exceptional women leaders through the ATHENA Award Program. The ATHENA Award Program was established 35 years ago in Lansing, MI, by Martha Mayhood Mertz, who believed that if a woman’s strength and contributions as a leader are publicly acknowledged, they could no longer be dismissed.
Nashville’s most prestigious and influential women’s organizations nominate the top leaders in their organizations each year for special recognition for serving as the embodiment of ATHENA’s spirit. These women are presidents of some of Nashville’s top businesses, lawyers, doctors, members of the legislature, entrepreneurs, and professors. Though their professions vary, these women all exemplify leadership in their fields, show commitment to community, and provide unselfish assistance to women and women’s issues.
You do not want to miss this incredible celebration of women. Review our sponsorship opportunities and benefits and help us honor women leaders as part of the ATHENA Awards.
Are you a champion of corporate diversity and governance best practices?
Sponsoring Cable’s annual Board Walk of Fame event and benchmarking research—developed in partnership with The College of Business at Lipscomb University—is a great way to champion corporate diversity and governance best practices. The event brings leaders together in celebration of progress and is then commemorated by Lipscomb’s “Board Walk of Fame Virtual Display” for sustained visibility throughout the year.
