With much excitement, Cable announced the launch of our new website at today’s luncheon. The website contains great new functionality and information so please take some time to explore and get familiar with the site.

Over the next few weeks we’ll add even more events, photos, documents, and content to enhance your membership experience. Since the website introduces a few new processes, we wanted to provide members with instructions on how to access the Member site for the first time and how some of the new pages work.

Member Site Access

When you are ready to log into the Member portion of the website for the first time, simply follow these four steps:

  1. From the Nashville Cable website, click the ‘Member Login’ button at the top right of the site.
  2. A dropdown box will appear and from there, click the link that reads “Forgot your Password”.
  3. The site will then prompt you to enter the email address associated with your member profile (it has not changed) in order to have an email sent to you so you can create a new password.
  4. Within this email there will be a link for you to establish a new password for your member profile. Create your new password and you’ll then have access to the Member site.

Note: If you have trouble with the password reset process or need assistance with the website, please email webmaster@nashvillecable.org.

Your Member Profile and Account

Once in the Member section, please review your member profile for accuracy. This can be done from the ‘My Account’ button at the top right of the site. You can review your account information and your member profile from links on this page.

Feel free to upload a new member profile photo and/or add information in the newly enhanced member profile fields. Any profile changes that were requested in the last two months, including renewals, will be updated to your profile in the next few weeks.

Additionally, members should set their email preference for receiving Zaps. Your previous Zaps notification settings will not transfer over so in order to receive Zaps, please visit the ‘My Account’ page and go to ‘Email Notifications’ to set new ones.

Zaps

The process to send a Zap has changed. Members should log into the Member site and visit the ‘Zaps’ page to see and send Zaps. Zaps will still be sent via email to members that have subscribed, and Zaps will now also be posted on the Zaps pages of the website.

Zaps will be sent throughout the day as they are posted. Once signed in as a member, please follow these steps to subscribe to receiving Zaps via email:

  1. Click on the ‘My Account’ button in the top right area the website.
  2. This will bring you to a page with information about your account. You will see a page called ‘Email Notifications’ on the left side of this page.
  3. Go to the ‘Email Notifications’ page, make your selections, and click the ‘Update Preferences’ button.
  4. This will set your new preferences to receive Zaps from the website.

To send a Zap, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in as a member.
  2. Go to the ‘Zaps’ page and then the ‘Send Zaps’ page.
  3. Fill in the fields with any pertinent information and click the ‘Submit’ button at the end of the form.
  4. This will post the Zap on the website and send it via email to those who’ve subscribed.

Note: If you have questions about the new Zaps process or need assistance with the website, please email webmaster@nashvillecable.org.

Job Boards and Resumes

There is also a new section in the Member site called ‘Job Board’, which is where job openings and resumes will now be posted and reviewed.

Instead of sending resumes and job openings as Zaps, members should post them to the Job Board area of the site. To post a resume or job openings, please:

  1. Log in as a member.
  2. Go to the ‘Job Board’ page and then go to either the ‘Submit a Job’ or ‘Submit a Resume’ page.
  3. Fill in the fields with any pertinent information and click the ‘Submit’ button at the end of the form.
  4. This will post the resume or job opening on the website and send it via email to those subscribed.

We are very excited about the future of Cable, and we believe our new website allows us to better execute our mission of “Moving Women Forward”.
