Lynn Cothren

Lynn Cothren works at the right hand of the Executive Director of the Tennessee Human Rights Commission on all facets of agency operations, with stakeholders, and the public. Mr. Cothren assists with operations management, education and outreach, general administration, and plays an integral role on the executive team. Previously, he served as Director of Administration at the largest leadership organization for girls in the world, Girl Scouts USA, New York, NY. Mr. Cothren’s role focused on reshaping organizational policies, and developing and implementing strategic initiatives, including the historic 100th year anniversary. Mr. Cothren served for 23 years as Special Assistant to the late Mrs. Coretta Scott King, founder of The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change.
