Nicole Rowan

Nicole has an extensive background in nonprofit management and community advocacy with more than 10 years of executive level leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, and a passion for relationship building, fundraising, community advocacy, and strategic planning. Nicole currently serves as the Executive Director of Rebuilding Together Nashville.

Nicole holds a graduate degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University and undergraduate degrees in Business Administration from Northwood University and Indiana Business College. She has previously worked with the YMCA, a global nonprofit organization for 16 years in the Indianapolis, St. Louis, and Nashville YMCA Associations. She most recently served as the Executive Director of the Northwest Family YMCA here in Nashville from 2016 to 2018, leading their sustainability task force and Healthier Communities Project.

In 2019 she founded her own consulting agency, Press Play On Purpose Consulting, LLC where she provided strategic solutions to nonprofits and government entities. Prior to joining the RT Nashville team, she worked as the Landlord Liaison and a Housing Court Navigator for the Metro Action Commission of Davidson County Government as a part of the HOPE program which focused on housing stability for individuals and families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nicole is also an active volunteer, serving in a leadership capacity with multiple organizations and boards such as Vice Chair of Membership for Nashville Cable, Online Pastor at Triumphant Nation Church, Board Chair of Meharry Medical College’s Community Advisory Board, and as a supporter and former Board Member for Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Clinic, as well as being a Board Member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Metro Nashville Chapter as the Correspondence Secretary. Nicole was recently nominated for the motivation mom award for the 2022 Nashville Women Who Rock Awards and has been featured in the Nashville Business Journal for “People on the Move.”
