Co-founder of Black Entertainment Television addresses Power of Inclusion
Sheila C. Johnson, nationally esteemed philanthropist and CEO, to come to Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Sheila Johnson is an African-American entrepreneur who co-founded Black Entertainment Television (BET) and is part-owner of the three sports teams in the NHL, NBA and the WNBA.
In 2005, Johnson founded Salamander Hospitality, a hospitality and management company through which she owns and manages two resorts and an inn, among other properties.
With an estimated net worth of $400 million, she ranks second only to Oprah Winfrey among the wealthiest black females in the United States
In short, she knows something about success.
On May 13, Johnson will serve as the keynote speaker at the 10th annual Power of Inclusion awards at Nashville’s Music City Center.
The Power of Inclusion awards acknowledge individuals and corporations who “walk the talk” with their commitment to diversity and inclusion in the local community. The honor is awarded by Nashville Cab!e, the 500-member, premier leadership organization for women’s professional advancement.
Johnson will offer lessons from a leader.
