Mark your calendars for this year’s Board Walk of Fame!

Each year, Nashville Cable honors Tennessee women and companies who are taking the lead in promoting women on corporate boards through our annual Board Walk of Fame event. During the event, these corporate leaders – who have acted on the evidence that more women on boards and in senior leadership positions leads to improved financial results and corporate vitality – are recognized and inducted into Cable’s Corporate Board Hall of Fame.

This year, we will be hosting Dr. Valerie Montgomery-Rice, president of Morehouse School of Medicine, as our keynote speaker on Friday, Nov. 12.

Congratulations to this years individual nominees and the boards they represent:
Deborah Varallo, Wilson Bank & Trust
Ivanetta Davis Samuels, Amedisys, Inc.
Marlee Mitchell, First Farmers & Merchants Corp.
Meg Crofton, HCA, Tupperware, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts
Stacey Kujo, InsBank
Cindy Kent, Accolade

And congratulations to the corporate nominees:

Sitting on a board, whether for a nonprofit or a corporation, allows you to experience leadership in various styles as well as impact organizational change and function.

This event will include a panel of community leaders who have served on nonprofit and corporate boards. The moderated discussion will provide insight and information on how best to prepare for board service and which board service is the best fit for you.

We hope you’ll join us virtually Wednesday, Nov. 3 from 6–7 p.m. for what’s sure to be a great discussion!
