Paula Farmer owns pmfaith & Associates Inc., a company that provides human resources consulting with a focus on diversity, inclusivity and equity, executive coaching, and core value leadership mentoring and coaching. She travels across the country to speak at conferences, college campuses, organizations, women’s events, corporate organizations and churches. Farmer most recently was invited to speak in South Africa and plans to return in 2021.
Farmer is committed to educating and developing next-level emergent leaders. She serves as an adjunct professor at a local HBCU where she teaches entrepreneurial leadership and serves as the director of the Career Development Center. She serves as the board chair of the Robertson County YMCA and is a board trustee at North Crest Medical. Farmer serves as co-chair of the internal development committee on the executive board of the Nashville Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Farmer is a consultant and a member of the Equity Task Force with the Center for Non-Profit Management in Nashville. For the past 20 years, Farmer has taught ministerial classes, Sunday School classes and served as the Overseer of Protocol at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Nashville.
Farmer graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University with a graduate and undergraduate degree in Organizational Management and Human Resources Management, respectively. She has an associate’s degree in Computer Technology from Nashville State Community College.
Farmer holds a Black-Belt in Six Sigma, and is certified by the Covey Leadership Institute, the McGhee Tyson Airforce Base, as well as the American Association of Christian Counselors. A little-known fact about Farmer is she is a quality guru and led a team that won a Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award for Xerox Business Services.
Farmer is passionate about people. Her life’s work centers around teaching, coaching and mentoring others to do the work that leads to greater freedom, happiness and success.
